As the Group Head, Finance and Accounts, Unified Payments, Fred has the primary day-to-day responsibility for planning, implementing, managing and controlling all financial-related activities of the Company. He brings to bear his diverse competencies as a strategic finance and Risk Management professional and his passion for business transformation and efficiency in discharging his stewardship and business advisory responsibilities.

He worked at PwC between 1994 and 1999 and was involved in providing Attestation services to major Banks and Financial Institutions in Nigeria. Between 1999 and 2003, he was involved in Oil and Gas project financing at Continental Trust Bank Ltd (now part of UBA) From 2009 to 2018, he was the CFO at Triquest Energy Limited, a big player in the Downstream Oil and Gas sector. At Triquest, he instituted an effective system of internal controls, sound financial reporting processes, Taxation Management Systems and a financial management strategy.

He has strong competencies in due diligence, advanced financial statement analysis, financial reporting, restructuring, deal sourcing and structuring, valuation and modelling, credit review and business planning.

Over the years he has been a facilitator on several in house and external courses both locally and abroad in the areas of Finance, Accounting, financial modeling, Risk Management and Organizational Behavior. As a facilitator, he has an excellent ability of creating and maintaining an environment conducive to adult learning, structuring the learning process, stimulating discussions, handling questions, providing opportunities for active learning and reviewing issues raised on subjects covered. He holds an honours degree in Chemical Engineering from University of Benin, Nigeria and Chartered Accountant (ICAN) qualifying with Pricewaterhouse Coopers.
