The UP WAY
The Four principles of the UP Way

Our Pride of Talented and Committed Employees
We are committed to attracting individuals to the organization, who share the company’s values and are committed to achieving the strategic objectives of the organisation. We place an exceptionally strong focus on recruiting, motivating and retaining a talented and diverse pool of extraordinary people through fostering a strong corporate culture that sustains a long-term working relationship.

Our Unique Organizational Design
UP’s organizational structure is a reflection of the operating realities of a financial technology company of which the core of the business is driven by scarce unique talent. To this end, UP’s corporate structure reflects the design and system used to determine the relative positions and functions of organizational members. UP operates through a few layers of administrative positions. There are no grade levels and we seek to promote a knowledge-based organization where employees are rewarded based on actual value contribution to the organization.

Our Quest for Innovation
We create an inclusive work environment which supports the diversity of our people and stimulates innovation. We strive for overall objectives which are clearly stated and agreed upon by both the organisation and its employees. UP is committed to upgrading the skills and capabilities of employees through ongoing training and development. This is especially important in a financial technology business where the rate of progress is rapid and where people are expected to adapt to rapid, continuous and discontinuous changes.

Our Constant Quest To Build An Enduring Institution
Succession planning is vital to the success of our business. We seek to identify potential successors to take on critical roles in the organization. A key outcome of our succession plan is to encourage succession from within for the various positions in our organisation. We envision an organisation where progressively, employees in management positions are products of a well-articulated succession planning process that inculcates institutional knowledge.

To ensure that we are successful, we build talent internally to align with the succession policy and strategy. For this reason, we actively discourage employees with short-term objectives and seek to attract, motivate and retain only employees that are committed to medium-to-long term careers in our organization.
Unified Payments is committed to investments in functional, management and leadership development programs to build required capacity.
